About me

I'm Allison Brown and I work as a counsellor with teenagers, young people and adults.

I'm qualified in Person Centred Counselling, I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and have Enhanced Criminal records bureau disclosures.

I offer counselling to young people aged 14 and over, normally with parental consent and work from Mirfield and Wakefield in West Yorkshire.

I have experience working with young people in school, college and University who have experienced a wide range of difficulties in their lives. I work by providing a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment where you can explore whatever it is that is important to you. I don't tell people what to do but counselling is often able to increase understanding of your feelings and find new ways of dealing with them and coping with life. I will work with anything that is important to you, however I have specific experience dealing with bereavement issues for young people.
